Our founder Michele Vaughn is a lady of distinction , grace, and humbleness. She is quiet by nature, but will be heard when she needs to be. If you were to ask her; " Why are you so quiet?" Michele will politely tell you; "A strong woman does not have to be loud!" Michele is a native of Indianapolis, In. She has always struggled with her weight for as long as she can remember. There were times when she would look back at some of her old photos and say "Man, I was never really that big!" It's funny because at that time in her life she thought (was told) she was “fat”. Michele also realized that she never allowed those negative messages from others telling her that she was fat, hinder her from going after her dreams.
Does she still have drama with her weight, of course but her weight does not define who she is. No one can make you feel inferior without your permission. SO STOP GIVING PERMISSION!
Michele hopes that through Beau Monde Madams & Co.,Inc., she can inspire other women and men to live their lives to the fullest, in despite of whatever size they maybe. She wants them to know that Self-esteem is not a dress size.... love yourself! Everything else will fall into place.
